"Abd al-Rahman bin Muhammad al-Mashhour (1250 - 1320 AH) is an imam, Shafi’i jurist, genealogist, and mufti of the Hadrami lands. He was extensive in various sciences, in jurisprudence, hadith, astronomy, genealogy, machine science, and others. He wrote jurisprudential works that became references for those who came after him, such as the book “Baghiyat al-Mustarshidin.”"
